This easy variation of the traditional "Irish Chain" will really show off your favorite fabric - that plaid flannel or victorian flora that's so WONDERFUL you hate to cut it up!! Each size quilt has the same number of blocks, with larger blocks for the larger quilts.

ATK-119 Shooting Star - $7.50
When a "shooting star" enters the earth's atmosphere, it burns up because it is traveling at such a high speed. Watch out - - your machine may "heat up" too. These cut stars will travel through your machine at the speed of light and you'll be finished before you know it. But what good is sped without accuracy? No worry, all of your star points will be perfect because the stars are "floating" - the star points do not go out to the edge of the block.

Grab a handful of fat quarters, and you're on the road to a fast and fun quilt! This super simple quilt is rotary cut and strip pieced...it just looks like you emptied out the scrapbag. A great project for beginners!

This is a wonderful scrappy quilt and a great way to use up fabrics you already have in your stash. Choose 6, 12, or 24 prints for the quilt: these will be strip pieced for quick, accurate results. For the main color, choose an all over print that is non-directional so the seams won't show. The scrappy blocks will "float".
